Information

Here, you can find all the information regarding tattoo appointments and tattoo aftercare.

You can book your appointment via:

Deposit
  • A non-refundable* deposit is required to secure your booking
  • The standard deposit is €50 per person (this amount might be adjusted based on the estimated time, size and complexity of the tattoo)
  • I will send you a payment request once we settle on a specific date and time
  • The deposit amount is always communicated before the booking
  • The deposit will be deducted from your tattoo cost on the day of the appointment
  • For multi-session projects, the deposit will be held towards the last session of the tattoo

Cancellation
  • 48h+ notice —> The session will be rescheduled to the closest possible date. The deposit is transferred to the rescheduled session.
  • <48h notice —> Full deposit is forfeited to compensate me and the studio. Session can be rescheduled only after repayment of the deposit.

  • If you anticipate being late, please inform me as soon as possible. However, please note that arriving excessively late may result in rescheduling, and the deposit will be subject to the rescheduling policy.

  • In the event of a cancellation or a no-show, the deposit will not be refunded. The deposit is therefore non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances:

    • the client has, including but not limited to, an unforeseen medical emergency or a flight cancellation (has to be done on the part of the airlines).

    • me and/or the studio have to cancel the appointment

  • Refund requests must be made in writing and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • I reserve the right to refund the deposit within 10 working days from accepting the refund request. The studio or me can only guarantee when the deposit is sent back, not when it is delivered.

Sustinance
  • I strongly advice you to eat something before the appointment, even if you scheduled a tiny tattoo

  • In case of a longer session snacks are required! Tattoos can be a lot to handle for your body. Please provide it with any support it might need, and that includes protein/sugar/hydration.

  • We always have something to drink at the studio (coffee/tea/sodas), but you need to bring the food yourself

  • Take care of your vitamin intake to improve condition of your skin.

  • Don’t forget about hydration.

Body and clothing
  • Don’t shave on the day of the appointment! Contrary to the general opinion, I will really appreciate it. Shaved skin is a healing skin, and healing skin is more difficult to tattoo.

  • Wear comfortable clothing, with an easy access to the focus area. Dark clothes are generally recommended as tattoo ink dyes all fabrics irreversibly.

  • I always take photos and videos of the tattoo once it's done, so if you'd like, you can wear something that will look nice on the photo. Dark clothes look best on photos, because then the tattoo stands out more 🙂

  • Are you getting a back tattoo/thigh tattoo/sternum etc.? Keep in mind that you might have to spend several hours in one position, with half of your body exposed. Your body will direct all the energy towards the tattooed area, so you might get really cold. Try to wear several layers on the remaining parts of your body.
TIP: You can get creative, for example, some clients getting a back tattoo bring a bathrobe and put it on backwards to keep their torso and arms warm.
  • Don’t use lotion on the day of the appointment. Some lotions clog the skin and if the skin is already saturated, it will affect the tattooing process. However, it is recommended to moisturize your skin regularly to keep it as healthy as possible.
  • 1 week before the appointment start using a moisturizer daily. With the exception of the day of our appointment (see previous point)

Please come on time or let me know if you're late! I might have to contact other customers and ask them to come a bit later or reschedule our session. The sooner I know the better 🙂

Our session normally goes in a following way:

  • You have to sit down and fill a consent form. During this process you can enjoy a warm drink or a soda provided by the studio
  • We go over the design and I leave you with it for a minute so you can take it in without any pressure and give me more feedback if necessary
  • I make edits based on your suggestions until we arrive at a perfect tattoo design
  • We choose the exact size and check the stencil on your body
  • Once we have the perfect stencil, the tattooing process begins!
  • Feel free to let me know if you're feeling any discomfort. it's best for the outcome if you're comfortable during the process 🙂
  • If you need a break for any reason please let me know. We can stop for couple minutes so that you can stretch, eat, or go to the toilet
  • After the tattoo is done I will take some photos for my own record. Please let me know if you don't want me to publish them online
  • I will cover the tattoo to protect it - either using second skin or cling film
Second skin phase:
  •  second skin needs to provide a hermetically sealed environment for the tattoo; if theres any risk or suspicion of breach - remove it asap
  • you can shower, just don’t soak for too long and after the shower check if the second skin is still fully attached and there’s no shower water under it
  • avoid physical activity because that leads to excessive skin perspiration —> sweat will be locked under the second skin - if that happens, remove it asap (sweat disturbs the healing process)
  • if you see redness exactly around edges of the plastic, it means your skin is having a reaction to it; in that case remove it asap and proceed with the aftercare (washing/cream)

  • take off the second skin:
    • stretch the plastic away from the tattoo without raising it from the skin
    • do it under the shower, water flowing in the opposite direction 🚿
    • If it’s difficult to remove it use soap foam (check next section) on the edges to help dilute the adhesive

After removing the second skin:
  • wash the tattoo:
    • if you have a regular soap that you’ve been using for a while (and it’s not super perfumed) - you can use that one, otherwise get a neutral/hypoallergic soap (0% colorants, 0% perfume) 🧼
    • make foam with the soap until it’s quite diluted and gently rub it on the tattoo; wash your fresh tattoo only in this way for the first 2 weeks
    • lukewarm water is best, scorching hot is a no-no
    • wash the tattoo each time after you workout or sweat excessively - don’t let any sweat dry on the tattoo!
    • don’t soak in water for too long (get out of the shower before your fingers turn wrinkly)
  •  dry the tattoo by gently pressing (not rubbing) it with a paper towel (not a regular towel)
  • put a thin layer of a tattoo aftercare ointment - bepanthen tattoo is easily accessible and affordable, it is also officially recommended by the health organization⚕️

TIP: get a nice aftercare butter like hustle butter instead of bepanthen
  • you need to keep the tattooed skin moisturized, don’t drown the tattoo in cream - it’s enough if you just make the skin shiny, like putting a protective lip balm
  • use the cream twice a day ON A CLEAN SKIN for the first week and once a day (preferably clean skin but not necessary) in the second week
Count the time from the moment of second skin removal.
  •  tattoo might itch during the healing process - don’t scratch it! You might accidentally remove a tiny scab and thus pull the ink out of your skin. If the itching is very annoying just pad the tattoo with a palm of your hand

❌ For 2 weeks:
  • no beach, swimming pools, sauna
  • no prolonged sun exposure - over 30 min in direct sunlight
  • no sunscreen (unless you buy bepanthen tattoo spf 50)
  • no working out (unless you really have to - wash the tattoo immediately after a workout - don’t let the sweat dry on the skin!)

Tattoo takes around 2 months to fully heal - it will look healed sooner but cells in the middle skin layer take a while to heal. After that time, the ink is fully settled but we can see if a touch-up is needed already after a month. In that case I will do it for free! Please send me a photo of your tattoo so we can schedule an appointment 💜
